Sausage Au Gratin Bake

Take your classic Au Gratin to new hights with Idahoan® SLICES Au Gratin Potatoes. Prepared with spicy kielbasa sausage, onions, and shredded cheddar cheese, this mouthwatering casserole bake can be served as a side or entrée and is easily prepared with limited time and labor.

Ingredients
  • 1 bag (20.35 oz) Idahoan® SLICES Au Gratin Potatoes (prepared according to hot water instructions)
  • 2½ quarts hot water (water should be between 180°F to 190°F)
  • 2 pounds keilbasa (either spicy or traditional, sliced into ¼" slices)
  • ½ pound onion (diced and sauteéd)
  • ½ pound cheddar cheese (shredded)
Instructions
  1. Measure 1 gallon of hot, not boiling, water into a large bowl.* Add the seasoning mixture and hydrate.
  2. Place the potatoes sliced into a half size 2½" hotel pan. Top with the diced onions and sausage. Pour the Au Gratin mixture over the potatoes and sausage.
  3. Bake uncovered in a 400°F oven for 40 minutes until golden brown. In the last 10 minutes, top with the shredded cheddar cheese.
  4. Once baked, remove from the oven and cut into portions. Hold hot for service.
