Ingredients
  • 1 bag (26 ounces) Honest Earth® Rustic Mashed Potatoes with Butter & Sea Salt
  • 1 gallon warm water
  • 1½ pounds baby bella mushrooms (process and saute until dry; seasoned if desired)
  • ¾ pound garbanzo beans (drain and rinse, then process to a rough chop)
  • ¾ pound black beans (drain and rinse, then process to a rough chop)
  • 1¼ ounces tamari (low-sodium soy or liquid amino is also suitable)
  • ½ ounce salt
  • ½ ounce pepper
  • ½ ounce granulated garlic
  • 1¼ pounds potato starch
  • 1¼ pounds garbanzo flour
Instructions
  1. Refresh the potatoes by placing the water into a large bowl and whisking in the potatoes. Allow to refresh for 10 minutes. While potatoes are refreshing, prepare the beans and mushrooms and set aside.
  2. Once the potatoes are refreshed, fold in all other ingredients and mix well. Allow to hydrate for ten minutes prior to cooking.
  3. Using a #6 scoop, scoop the mixture into a burger press. Cook the patties on a seasoned griddle or saute pan until crisp on both sides and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
