Sausage & Sage Tater Tumblers®

Ingredients
  • (32.9 oz) Idahoan® SHREDS Tater Tumblers® Original Mix with Spices
  • 2 quarts hot water (water should not be above 130°F)
  • 4 ounces poultry seasoning
  • 2 pounds spicy breakfast sausage (cooked, crumbled, and held for assembly )
  • 1 pound monterey jack cheese (shredded)
Instructions
  1. Measure 2 quarts of hot water (130°F) into a large bowl. Water should not be boiling.
    Add the poultry seasoning and mix well to incorporate.
  2. Add entire pouch of potatoes all at once, using a spoon or wire whip to distribute
    evenly and wet all potatoes. Let stand 10 minutes until the potatoes are fully hydrated.
  3. Once the mix is hydrated, add the sausage and cheese and mix well.
  4. Portion using a #60 scoop. Lightly roll, cover, and refrigerate until needed. Hold no
    more than 36 hours.
  5. Fry at 350°F for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
